Hilton Parsippany

We stayed at Hilton Parsippany with our kids, and the room had plenty of space and was comfortable for all of us. The staff were attentive throughout the visit, especially when I asked for a late check-out, which made leaving much more relaxed. Check-in was smooth and the reception team made us feel welcome. They even surprised me with an upgrade. The hospitality made this a fantastic family stay, and I’d happily come back and recommend it to others.

The front desk staff were very nice. Our room was only in okay shape, with water damage, peeling wallpaper, and a stain on the couch. We asked for extra blankets, but what they brought up looked dirty and came in a huge trash bag.

The rooms and shared areas were clean and comfortable, which keeps this at three stars for me. The food and service were a letdown, though. Breakfast had a poor selection, didn’t seem fresh, and wasn’t worth the price. Restaurant staff came across as uninterested and inattentive, making the meal less enjoyable. The night before, the lounge bartender was just as unfriendly and unprofessional, so it was hard to relax with a drink. Hilton needs to improve the restaurant and lounge service to match its reputation.

The front desk ladies were the one bright spot. The hotel was very busy, and they seemed under a lot of pressure without much support from upper management. When a major event fills the hotel, it should be all hands on deck. I was told the heat hadn’t been turned on for winter yet, and there was no way to know that the heat setting would blow cold air. They said they’d send up a space heater, but it never came. There weren’t any condiments for the pantry sandwiches either. For the price, being left uncomfortable was very disappointing.
