Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Auburn

The staff are amazing, and one young Indian woman at the front desk was especially professional. I could see how much pride she took in her job, and her demeanor really stood out. I've stayed here a few times. It could use a little upgrading, but I'll be back because of her.

My stay at the microtel in Auburn was peaceful, and I really liked my room. It was clean, the morning breakfast was great, and the customer service was courteous. I also want to respond to the comments about a musty smell. The staff cleans thoroughly, and I noticed the smell myself. I believe it's coming from one or two customers upstairs who have been here for a week and were here a few months ago, too. They smell musty, and you can notice it through the air conditioning vent. The place smelled aromatic and peaceful before they arrived. It's not the hotel or staff's fault; those people need to bathe. There's water and soap in every room.

As of 09/26/25, I tried calling the manager about a refund. She was extremely disrespectful, kept cutting me off, hung up, and won't answer my calls. I had to dispute the charge with my bank. The front desk lady was very sweet, but that's the only good thing I can say. The place hit me with a blast of heat as soon as I walked in. We booked one night but didn't stay in the room for even 25 minutes. We paid an upgrade fee to switch rooms, and the new room smelled strongly of mildew. There were blood stains on the sheet when I pulled it back, so we packed up and left right away. When we asked for a refund, they said they could only give us $25. The pictures don't look like the actual place. It's very, very dirty. If I could give it -12 stars, I would.

I was exhausted when I checked in around 2 a.m. last week, and the young woman, Tori I think, was really nice and helpful. The first room had a broken AC, but she apologized a lot and moved me to another one. That room was clean and the AC worked. I'd recommend this hotel for a clean room at a fair price.
