The guest rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the dining room is fantastic. Walking into this fine historic inn, the grand entrance and staircase with its two-story stained-glass window are breathtaking. Experienced innkeepers run the mansion, and several local restaurants are within walking distance in the Historic District.

Terry keeps this charming, historic B+B beautifully clean and well maintained. She's an accommodating, gracious host, and she knows the area and local attractions extremely well. Each morning, she makes a delicious breakfast and can accommodate individual dietary needs and restrictions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I stayed with a group of girlfriends for a wedding and would highly recommend this cozy, quintessentially Maine place to anyone looking for somewhere outside the mainstream. We'll definitely be back!

The owner was friendly and made us a full breakfast. We only stayed one night while attending a wedding in a nearby town, but this unexpected gem was a welcome find. It beats a chain hotel for the rate and the whole experience. Take a look at the original architectural drawings on the living room wall. They really show how house building has changed over time, with no comparison. This is a beautifully restored 1889 Victorian home, with a grand, quintessential Victorian feel for anyone coming from somewhere without historic architecture. It has original high coved tin ceilings, a carved wood staircase, exquisite stained glass, and a spacious first floor with a living room, sitting room, and two dining rooms. The bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor are light, large, and have the same high ceilings. Everything was very clean and decorated with guests in mind. Our room had a deck overlooking the well-kept garden and patio with a round pool. Parking is off street.

The innkeeper, Theresa, was warm and accommodating, and the fee was remarkably reasonable. We had a great stay, with a beautiful room and a delicious breakfast that offered a nice variety for different needs. We come to the area often, and I'm sure this will become our home away from home.
