Tru by Hilton Auburn

What stands out most to me is the staff. They’re consistently cheerful, kind, welcoming, and happy to see you, just the people you want representing a hotel. The lobby is spacious, with lots of seating, food for sale, and a pool table. The rooms are on the small side, but always clean. It’s a convenient place to rest when traveling through the Auburn area, just off I-85.

The room was spotless and comfortable during our two-night graduation visit, but we had problems with breakfast and the service. Items kept running out, including sausage, eggs, oatmeal, and coffee, and the breakfast staff seemed uninterested. The front desk staff also came across as disinterested and were often difficult to find. The only ice machine was out of order for our whole stay.

For a short stay, this was good value and the location was handy. The area felt safe, with fast food, good restaurants, and shopping nearby, and it was easy to reach the interstate. The bed was very uncomfortable, and there weren’t many breakfast choices. Still, it worked for the money and location.

We stayed at the Tru hotel in Auburn, AL while visiting family for the holidays. Housekeeper Jasmine Graham made sure our needs were met, and we appreciated her dedication and effort. We had a pleasant experience and look forward to coming back.
