Angela at the front desk was especially great. She was on second shift Friday when we arrived and suggested places to eat. The next evening, when our dog hurt his leg, Angie quickly found us gauze and tape to wrap it. The shower was probably the best I’ve had outside my own home, and the hotel itself is nice. Turning in from the northbound lane of Washington Rd can be a little dicey, but there are restaurants, shopping malls, and parks close by.

A big thanks to Tamika, the overnight manager, and Felicia, the breakfast manager. On January 10th 2026, my mother and I were eating breakfast at 6am while traveling alone back to Florida from Tennessee. Two people who weren’t staying there came in. Felicia alerted Tamika, who asked them if they were guests. They gave her a fake room number, and she told them nobody was in that room. They still tried to enter, but Tamika handled it firmly and professionally, then they left. The two of us felt extremely safe, and we’ll come back because of those employees. Angie also checked us in the night before and had a great personality. The room was great, and the outdoor fire pit was a nice extra with cold weather coming.

We brought our dog and stayed two nights this past weekend. The staff were all super nice, the room was spacious and very clean, breakfast was good, and the pool area looked really nice and clean. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The area just outside the hotel by the road felt a little sketchy, but we’ll definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

The front desk agent who checked us in was great, but the room problems ended our repeat visits. We’ve stayed here a few times during holiday trips and won’t book again. The first room had a mild mildew smell and hair all over the bedding when I pulled back the sheets. I called the operator, who moved us to another room on the same floor, and it was even worse: hair on the sheets and floor, plus the silver shower drain propped against the wall. It just felt filthy. We took our things downstairs and checked out rather than risk a third room. The same young woman who had checked us in handled the checkout. I’m deeply disappointed. Whoever cleaned those rooms should have a chance to explain what went wrong, or perhaps be retrained. Something needs to change so guests get better service.
