Knights Inn Augusta at Deans Bridge Rd

I booked through priceline at the wrong knights inn and asked the front desk for a refund. They told me to contact priceline. Priceline called me back and said he’d declined the refund, and that I should ask him if he’d make “an exception to their policy.” When I called him, he blamed priceline and said they wouldn’t refund me. I told him priceline had directed me back to him, but he still refused, saying it was too late because all the rooms were booked. It was 3pm, normal hotel check-in time. If he’d refunded me, the room would have opened up. I know because I worked at a knights inn front desk 30 mins away. The customer service was terrible. They basically kept my $70 without even apologizing.

The motel was a dump, with broken fixtures and furniture and noisy people all night. The proprietor acted like an 11am checkout was some favor. Checkout isn’t 1030am. The absolute earliest at any other motel is 11, so giving me until 11 did me no favor at all. I hope that 30 minutes saves you a lot of money. You’ll never get mine again.

This was horrible. The system was down when I tried to check in after paying through a third party, which I could understand. They were taking cash only, so I paid cash, but they also charged my card for a stay I never had. I ended up paying twice, and that’s unfair. Nobody has money to give away. Hotels.com hasn’t helped either. They were notified at check-in, but now they just say they’re sorry, the hotel won’t answer, and they can’t refund me. They should all be ashamed.

We had some doubts after reading older reviews, but our room was fine and we left with no complaints. During Masters week we weren't expecting a Hyatt-style room, just somewhere clean and comfortable, and that's what we got. Housekeeping came every day, which some Hyatt hotels don't even do now, and the small continental breakfast had milk, juice, and coffee. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rate was reasonable compared with other hotels that week.
