Best Western Plus Gateway Inn & Suites

Richard has helped me each time I’ve stayed, and he’s kind, patient, and accommodating. On my first visit, a sprinkler was dripping, but they moved me without any hassle. The rooms are clean, and housekeeping comes every other day, though you can request daily service. Breakfast is buffet style, with choices like muffins, cereal, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. The morning staff are friendly and greet you. I usually enjoy my stays here.

The breakfast was the best part, and the woman serving it was kind and friendly. The TV, refrigerator, and microwave worked great, but the three first-floor rooms our family got for two nights were in rough shape for the price. Furniture was worn, the blanket had holes, and the shower curtain was too short and blew out when the water pressure came on. The showerhead was so high it seemed suited to a six- or seven-foot man, and the beds were so tall I felt I might need a ladder. The coffee maker was by the TV with no outlet, so we had to move it to a table. There was only one regular coffee, one decaf, and two teas. The next morning, service was by request only. One family member also waited over an hour for her room, while another was upgraded to a second-floor king suite. We stayed because of a family funeral; another group had praised the place a week earlier. In general it was okay, but we won’t return. We visit the area two or three times a year, and they’ve lost us as customers.

We found the location easy to reach from the highway, quiet, and seemingly very safe. After three nights, our room was still spacious and clean, with a spotless bathroom. Having the sink area separate from the shower and toilet made getting ready each day convenient for two women. I’d recommend the hotel.

The location, rooms, and staff were all great, and it’s a good place to stay. The hot tub let us down: it was tiny, and the jets’ pressure sent water right into your face. Breakfast wasn’t very good either, though the ladies making it meant well and tried to keep things fresh.
