Quality Inn Aurora - Naperville Area

Great location, but I found hair in the shower and stains on the sheets. I hope they were just stains. The front desk woman brought me fresh linens when I asked.

I had to change rooms twice before finding one with clean sheets. I should've left after the first dirty room. The main problem was that the sheets and towels didn't seem to be changed between guests. At 5:30 on a Monday morning, I got out of the shower and a long black hair from a supposedly clean towel was stuck to my face. Dirty.

Chicago failed me and my family badly. What pushed me to write this was their claim that they fixed things, when the pictures show what they actually did. I served in combat conditions better than this. They charge too much for the room, and I only stayed because I hadn't booked it myself. The first 12 to 15 reviews were one star, and I don't believe all those reviews could be lying. The rooms have no-smoking signs, but the halls reeked of weed, and the rugs were filthy from one end of the hall to the other. Food was left out at 1 a.m., though breakfast starts at 6, which seems like a health violation. Staff were nonchalant and couldn't answer questions. The same old response has been given and nothing has changed. The health department should come in for customers' safety. I'll tell as many people as I can to stay away.

The shower handle had a rusty screw sticking out, and I cut my finger on it. My room was dingy and needed repairs or replacement, as the photos show, and the Wi-Fi was so slow that even after telling staff twice over two nights, I drove two hours home to finish my work, then came back the next day to meet my customer. Breakfast was terrible: no hot food apart from the waffle maker you'd find at a Super 8, no milk, and just one yogurt. Staff were friendly when they weren't talking loudly on speakerphone in the lobby. I travel a lot for work and stay at Quality Inns often. This was the worst one I've been to.
