Comfort Inn Joliet West I-80

Three weeks into my stay and so far, so good. The beds are comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was extremely nice. The TV reception and WiFi are crappy, maybe because of the hotel's location, but I’m not sure. Housekeeping is a little iffy and seems to take a lot of shortcuts, though nothing crazy. There are ladybugs in the rooms, but that doesn’t bother me. I’ll update as the stay goes on.

Don’t stay here. The mattresses were old, stained, and gross, and the bathrooms had mold. There are bed bugs too. We’ve tried contacting the manager several times about our refund, but somehow we can never reach them.

The staff member at the front desk was extremely rude when we checked in. Breakfast is served from 5:30 to 9:00, but at 8:00 there was just one dry sausage link and a few omelet crumbs left. No yogurt, milk, or eggs, only cold cereal. The room was run-down, with dark blue old paint and a dirty carpet, though the mattress and pillows were quite comfortable. The sink and bathtub also drained poorly. Not a good stay, and not worth the money.

It was clean, from the lobby and breakfast area to my quiet room, and the shower pressure was just right. The staff were great, starting with my call to confirm the reservation and continuing through my request for a receipt as I left. There’s a restaurant within walking distance, which is a big plus. I’ll make this my go-to whenever I’m in the area.
