Hampton Inn Joliet-Plainfield I-55

The price was perfect, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast, cleanliness, and the location were all great. The extras were such a sweet touch: a hot cocoa bar, take-and-go bags, and coloring sheets. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back!

A long story, but someone posted a review under my name, so I’m here to correct it. I used to stay at the Best Western on 55 & 80. The room prices were good, but after a staff member said something they shouldn’t have, I started renting at the Hampton. I like it there. It costs more than the other place, but the price is fair. The staff are great, the rooms are clean, and they’ve thought of everything in the bathroom. Breakfast is great too. I rent often and will keep choosing The Hampton. I even signed up for Hilton Honors.

For a last-minute New Year’s plan with my girlfriend, I rented the hot tub room. It was really nice. The tub felt a little small, and the bathroom door was a bit torn up, which I assume was from someone’s dog. Otherwise, the room was great. I’ll most likely be back.

Noise carried through the room badly. I kept hearing people in the hallway and going in and out of other rooms, which made it hard to sleep. On top of that, a front desk employee came into my room around 3-4 AM using a key card without knocking. After entering, he backed out, knocked, and said they couldn’t find my reservation details. Later he “found” it using my name. That was their mistake, but coming into a guest’s room in the middle of the night like that was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe. The sink clogged as soon as I used it, leaving water standing there. I called the desk for help, but instead of sending maintenance or housekeeping, the staff member told me to put my bare fingers in the dirty water and push the silver drain/coil inside. That was disgusting and unsanitary, and a guest should never be told to do that. Between the sink problem, the staff response, and the unauthorized entry, it was an awful stay. I wouldn’t stay here again.
