Super 8 Aurora/Naperville Area

The room's first impression was a faint cigarette smell, and the carpet had old stains. Everything could use an upgrade; the rooms are dated. I wasn't expecting breakfast, but Wonder Bread and cereal dispensers barely count, and the coffee machine was pretty sad. I didn't expect much, and that's what I got. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

Dear Wyndham Rewards Support Team, I want to flag inaccurate information on the Wyndham Rewards website for the Super 8 by Wyndham at the Aurora, IL. It lists bus and truck parking as an amenity, but when I spoke directly with the front desk to book a room, they told me truck parking isn't available. That's misleading to drivers relying on the listing when choosing a place to stay. My truck is smaller than a bus or a semi, too. I liked the interior's look, and aside from two problems, the hotel was quite nice. The front desk staff were amazing and made an effort to accommodate what I wanted with the king suite. In hindsight, I wish I'd checked things more carefully. Behind the bed pillow, I found what I believe was discharge on the headboard. Then, when my partner and I tried the in-room soaker tub, its filter spat a hairball onto us. It was disgusting and made us feel gross. I hope the staff are more thorough with cleaning in future.

I booked online through booking.com after calling ahead to ask about the king suite with an in-room jacuzzi. The gentleman quoted me a price, so I went ahead. When I arrived, I was told there was a $150 deposit on top of the reserved room, bringing the total to $310. I said nobody had mentioned it, and he insisted it was clearly shown on bookie.com, but it wasn't. I couldn't cancel or switch rooms, so I paid and checked in. The bathroom was dirty, with urine and blood on the toilet seat and inside the toilet. At the front desk, the same man moved me next door and quickly cleaned it himself, which made me wonder if the room had been cleaned properly at all. I found plenty of other things wrong once I got in. Can't believe I paid $310 for such a crappy room. The management is poor; I think they could do better.
