Courtyard by Marriott Austin Airport

The rooms were clean and roomy, and there was plenty of space both inside and outside to work remotely or hold meetings. The fitness center was spacious and had enough equipment for a good workout. From the front desk greeting and check-in through the follow-up email, everything was excellent. Not a single complaint. Good job, guys.

The room was quiet and clean, and getting checked in and out was quick and easy. They had food and drinks available in the evening, though we didn’t try them. The airport shuttle starts at 4 a.m. and was available. It took about 6-11 minutes to get to the airport, mostly because of traffic as you get closer. We’d stay again if we needed to be near the airport.

Anji, the Bistro supervisor, made our evening in the lobby bistro a highlight. She was warm and welcoming, helped our teenage kids find snacks, and made excellent drinks. My husband and I ordered old fashioneds, and they were outstanding, as good as ones we’ve had at craft cocktail bars around the world. That was a very pleasant surprise in an airport hotel bar. We stayed before an early flight and spent about an hour there after checking in. Five-star service and cocktails!

The nearby Waffle House and 711 were handy when other restaurants and businesses had closed and the roads were undrivable. Our rooms were clean, modern enough, and nicely furnished. The price was much better than at airports closer by, and the location worked well for getting to the airport. We were stuck at the Marriott for an unexpected extra night during the winter storm. Patrick Seron at reception was welcoming, communicative, and amazing to deal with. He made a difficult stay feel much better. Thanks, Courtyard Marriott and Patrick!
