Homewood Suites by TechRidge Parmer @ I-35

I stayed for three and a half weeks, and having a full kitchen made that easy. There’s an HEB across the street, so I bought groceries and cooked most nights. The room was like a mini apartment, with a separate bedroom and living area. The grand lobby has very high ceilings, the hotel was mostly quiet even when nearly full, and there are plenty of amenities. I also did laundry on site, where two washers, two dryers, seats, and a TV made the wait easier. Staff I met were friendly, and my room was cleaned daily. I’d stay again, though there were some frustrations: one elevator was out the whole time, breakfast had a nice variety but the hot food was barely warm, and my room had a pot but no frying pan. I asked twice for one and never got it. Twice I found nobody at the front desk, and the first time I waited about 30 minutes. By then, around five other people were waiting too.

This was our second stay, and my husband and I will keep choosing this hotel when we come to Austin. It’s a beautiful, well-kept place, with kind housekeepers and a staff that was helpful and friendly morning, evening, and night. Detrice was especially sweet. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the Texas-shaped waffle at breakfast was adorable. There’s plenty nearby, including HEB and places to eat, and South Congress is only about 25 minutes away.

The hotel was quiet even though it was full during our stay. We liked the clean room, well-kept grounds, useful amenities, and good service. Its location is great, with restaurants and an HEB nearby. I’d stay again.

It’s a bit pricey, though the accommodations are good for the cost. The room was spacious and had a kitchen with a stovetop, fridge, freezer, and microwave. Breakfast was good, and we liked the pool. There was a fire pit, but it wasn’t on during our stay, and there’s no hot tub. Downtown Austin was about a 15-minute drive away.
