Lake Austin Spa Resort

There’s so much history at Lake Austin, and it has such a distinct sense of place. I love returning here. It’s a lovely escape on your own, with friends, or with someone you love, and I can fill the whole day with activities and classes, the gym, water sports, or just lounging in a hammock. Drew and Kara in Water Sports made our time on the water so much fun. Chef Limon’ went above and beyond with every meal request, and Renee’ in the Boutique was sweet and helpful. Jackie even remembered me from a couple of years ago. The hiking guides were the best. The employees really care about the guests.

A few hours after leaving, I realized my gold bracelet was still in my robe. It belonged to my grandmother, so it meant a lot to me, and I assumed I’d lost it for good. I called the front desk, and Shelonda immediately started checking with the staff. They called back just minutes later to say they’d found it. I’m so grateful for the care, urgency, and kindness they showed. Earlier, I’d had treatments with Ashley and then Celia. Both were warm, professional, and very talented, and made the experience relaxing and memorable. I visit Lake Austin Spa three or four times a year and always expect great service, but this visit went above and beyond. The whole team made it an amazing spa day.

The dock makes a stunning backdrop, and the on-site restaurant is a great place for clients to start celebrating right away. The property feels luxurious and peaceful. Kristen, Denis, and the whole team are a pleasure to work with both in the planning and on the day itself. It’s a beautiful, serene venue for proposals through my company, Amore Austin.

Room #13 is lovely, with backyard privacy and a lake view, plus a small fridge and linens that are to die for. I appreciate the citronella candle outside, though the matches are always too damp to light. The fireplace is great, but I wish it made crackling sounds. Maybe that’s possible? We’ve loved it here and will be back. Spa day today! Your team has been amazing. Sarah checked us in at the front desk, and Kristi has been like a quintessential concierge, even arranging a private mah-jong session so we could see what the buzz is about. Natalie remembered me from last Oct and greeted me so genuinely. My roomie is doing every activity, while I’m taking a more resorty pace. Debbie was a doll and so prepared for last night’s calligraphy, and chef Susie has extraordinary knowledge. We appreciate everyone!
