Omni Austin Hotel Downtown

The lounge was a highlight for our group. On the premier club floor it had comfortable seating, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks all day and night, plus breakfast, light lunch snacks, and hot appetizers and alcoholic drinks at dinner. It was all included for club-level guests. We enjoyed the food, and I could see it being especially good value for a family. When we arrived right at the breakfast cutoff one morning, along with several other guests, the lounge staff went out of their way to bring more food before packing everything away. You don’t often see service like that. I’ve stayed at plenty of Austin hotels with mixed results, so I had high hopes for the Omni, and it came through. Jacob was friendly at check-in, got both rooms ready quickly, and told me they’d both been upgraded to the premier club floor. My Select Guest preferences were honored in both rooms. They were clean, comfortable, and had been renovated fairly recently. The hotel occupies a unique building with an office tower atrium, and the elevators look out into it. They rattled a bit, which didn’t bother me, though it may be something to address. I would have liked self-parking, since it seemed the hotel used to offer it and there’s garage access, but the valet attendants were friendly and efficient. The location is great, within walking distance of many Austin attractions and a short drive from other areas. It was a great stay, and we’ll definitely come back next time we’re in town.

For our family of four, space and comfort mattered more than a design-focused hotel, so choosing the Omni Downtown Austin was the right call. The one-bedroom king suite was about $350 a night and generously sized, with a separate bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed. We felt comfortable throughout our four-night stay. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful. Our flight delay meant we got complimentary early check-in at 10 a.m. and late checkout at 6 p.m., which made a huge difference. Highly recommend for families visiting Austin who want room to spread out, comfort, and great service.

I was in town for a conference and came away very happy with the experience. The event food was tasty, with plenty of variety, and the business areas were clean and organized. My room was comfortable and clean too.
