ROOST Rainey

I stayed at ROOST Rainey in Austin for a week and loved it. The suites were tasteful and really comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the whole place had a great vibe. The building is impeccably designed, with thoughtful amenities, and it’s perfectly located. Definitely check it out!

Probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are more like suites, with every amenity I could think of, including a dishwasher and washer and dryer. The gym and business center were the best I’ve seen in a hotel. I recommend it as highly as I possibly can.

We booked what was advertised as a hotel, but this property is an apartment complex, and I found that misleading. It didn’t have the usual hotel atmosphere or conveniences. There’s no lobby bar, and the only on-site bar opens later in the day, leaving no option for most of the afternoon. The pool had no service, so food and drinks can’t be ordered there. There’s also no room service or way to order food to the room or pool. Our room had no proper blackout shades or curtains, so light flooded in early and made it hard to sleep. Rooms aren’t serviced regularly either. When we asked for more bottled water, we were told to go downstairs and fill bottles ourselves at a lobby fountain. For hotel prices, that service and convenience fell short. If you want a proper hotel experience with amenities and service, this isn’t it.

My wife and I had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend at Roost at Rainey in Austin. The location, right in the Rainey Street district, made it easy to get to great restaurants, nightlife, and nearby scenic trails. Check-in went smoothly, and the spacious, comfortable place was thoughtfully designed, so it was easy to unwind after busy days exploring the city. The property was modern, stylish, and well-maintained, with a welcoming, upscale feel.
