Relax Inn

The lady who helped me was very nice, and she gave me a discount. It was a nice place to stay, get some rest, and get away from everyone. Thank you.

When the storm meant I couldn't go home, this place gave me somewhere comforting to stay. The staff were amazing, the owners were attentive, and they made sure all my needs were met. They had run out of bottled water in the machine, but brought me some anyway. That small gesture meant the world to me, whether they realized it or not. The property is under full surveillance. At one point I realized I was the only female renter, and felt like they were keeping an extra eye on me. Maybe I was imagining it, but I felt especially safe. It was a real comfort to sleep well and know I was protected.

We won't stay there again. The place was dirty, and over seven days they never vacuumed or cleaned the toilet or sink. Toilet paper and towels were only available sporadically. People, mostly working guys, yelled at 6 a.m., walked up and down, and had their TVs on at 5 a.m. We couldn't cook in the room, and the microwave didn't work until they finally replaced it the day before we left. They had a hot plate in a shipping container with the laundry, and of course there was no hot water. We went back to our old place, which cost the same and was much better.

We'd stayed here twice before and always loved it, but this visit was a horrible experience. Even though we'd booked and paid over a month ahead, they told us when we arrived that they didn't have the two-bed room we'd reserved. The guy working said, "I don't have anything, it's management's problem, you can cancel if you want." We had a baby with us and couldn't find a hotel nearby at the last minute. His arrogance was uncalled for. I'll never come back.
