The hotel was quiet, which was especially nice, and there are several good restaurants and sports bars nearby. Our room was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. Everyone on staff made us feel at home. Mrs. Lisa deserves a special thank you: even though it was her day off, she took time to help me without hesitation. The location worked perfectly for work or play, and I had a wonderful stay.

I had to leave before completing the month I’d booked because my workplace was nearly an hour away, but the staff made such a strong impression that I wanted to leave a review. Divine at reception welcomed me right away and made check-in smooth. He knew I was meant to be there for an extended stay, and that thoughtfulness made me feel at home. The clean, quiet hotel was comfortable for settling in, and my spacious, well-kept suite had everything I needed: pots, pans, utensils, an ironing board and iron, a hair dryer, and more. It really felt like a home away from home. There was a mix-up about checkout time. I’d confirmed noon both by email and in person with Lisa at the front desk, but an automatic email said 11:00 AM. When I forwarded it, Lisa and another staff member promptly acknowledged the error and politely confirmed that noon was right. They sorted it out without hassle. The hospitality, especially from Divine, left a lasting impression. If the location had worked better for my job, I’d have stayed the full month. I’d recommend this Austin hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place.

It was an okay place, nothing special. The elevator had a strong burning-plastic smell. When I asked about it, they said new paneling had been installed. We left Saturday morning expecting our room to be cleaned that day, but the front desk told us rooms aren’t cleaned on weekends. That’s why I’m giving it only three stars.

Claudia at Staybridge Suites Austin South’s Social Night was so kind to me. Even when I came back late, after 7 p.m., she made sure some food had been kept for me. I really appreciated how thoughtful and empathetic she was, and that she cared about guests while trying not to waste the food left over. Those small gestures made me feel welcome. Thank you, Claudia.
