I liked being right downtown and on the water, with beautiful river views and lots of good spots within walking distance. The staff were all kind and helpful, and it was a nice stay at a lovely hotel. The restaurant and some of the lobby looked more polished in the online pictures than they did in person. My room also had a slightly off, weird smell.

The coffee shop on the first floor made a great latte, and I loved the view from my room. The rest was disappointing for about $650 for a Saturday night in a river-view suite with overnight parking. At that price, I hoped for five-star service, but the staff seemed passive and disinterested, the furnishings felt outdated, and I was charged for minibar items I didn't take. The Line is aging quickly in a hot area, and I didn't feel I got good value.

The room was the letdown. Mine wasn't very clean, with dirt on the floor and a big clump of hair in the shower drain. The bed was comfortable enough, but the bathroom was so dark I needed my phone flashlight to put on eye makeup. The hallways, elevators, and other shared spaces also felt dirty and run down. The Line seems to have been renovated to look more modern and cool, and the lobby is great, with a bar, restaurant, coffee shop, big fireplaces, and lots of seating. Front desk staff were helpful, and the central Austin location made it easy to walk to plenty of places.

Becky, the Catering Sales Manager, made our wedding weekend feel smooth from the planning stage through the day itself. She was organized, attentive, and clearly cared that things went well. She even set up a room block link for our guests, which made booking really easy. The P6 staff were friendly, professional, and attentive all evening, and our guests felt welcome and looked after. The food at P6 was delicious, and people are still talking about it. My husband and I had our wedding reception at P6 rooftop at The LINE Hotel this past October, and it was everything we dreamed of and more. The views were stunning, the atmosphere was perfect, and all the details felt elevated and effortless. The rooms were beautiful, especially the RWB, with its in-suite kitchen, record player, bar area, spacious living and dining room, and breathtaking views over Lady Bird Lake. It made the stay even more special. We couldn't have asked for a better place to host our friends and family for the weekend. The LINE Hotel will always mean a lot to us, and we can't recommend it enough to people visiting Austin or planning an event.

We enjoyed our stay at The Line Austin after Christmas. The room was clean and the amenities were fine. I gave it 3 stars because an unexpected charge showed up the night we checked out, even though we confirmed at checkout that the bill was settled. The hotel told us by phone that it was for an expensive bottle of liquor from the minibar, which we never touched. We had already seen several reviews describing similar minibar charges, so we took photos before and after the stay as a precaution. We sent them to the hotel to show that nothing had been moved. If you don't plan to use the minibar, I'd recommend taking photos too, just in case. I can't say whether this is an integrity issue, but with so many guests reporting the same thing, management should investigate and resolve it.
