We found the area quiet and peaceful, with shops, restaurants, and the waterfront easy to reach on foot. The ocean view from the property made the trip feel especially relaxing. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and simple after our travels. We had a great stay at Seaport Village Inn in Avalon. It was comfortable and convenient, and we'd happily return.

The people were really kind and easy to reach, and we loved our simple but roomy upgraded room. It had a view and a small balcony. That was the beach hotel feel I was after, and the promo that gave us a free room upgrade made it a great deal for our Catalina trip.

For around $452 total, we stayed one night at Seaport Village Inn in Avalon over the busy annual half marathon/Veteran's Day weekend. Everything in town was within easy walking distance, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. They stored our bags for free before check-in, so we could go straight to our reserved lounge chairs at Descanso Beach Club. The room was spacious, with a great port view and a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, and seating area. But the furnishings were dated, and the hotel overall felt run-down and in need of a facelift. We also didn't have essentials like a hair dryer or iron. It was fine for a one-night visit if location and views matter more to you than modern comforts.

Just one city block uphill from the main areas, this is a cool place to stay. My wife liked the view, and the hot tub easily fits several people. We had no problems at all and I'd be happy to come back.

We were really pleased with our stay. Only small issues: they left just one coffee in the room, and it wasn't very good. The Jacuzzi wasn't hot, so we didn't use it.
