Avon Inn

Valentine's Dinner was a letdown for what we paid. Our salads didn't arrive until we pointed that out, then the dinners came cold. My Prime Rib tasted good, but my husband's NY Strip was terrible, and the people beside us were having problems too. There were more diners than usual, but it didn't seem busy enough to explain the very slow service. We've eaten at the Avon Inn for years and never had a truly bad dinner, though none had been exceptional either. Going out is a big treat for us, and the experience matters if we're going to come back. I don't usually post reviews to bash a place, but I hope they take this seriously.

We live some distance from Avon, but we'll make the trip back for another special occasion. Our holiday celebration dinner at the Avon Inn with longtime family friends was a real pleasure. The menu had choices for lots of different tastes, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

Such friendly, professional staff, and the prices are really reasonable for food this good. Everything felt right, from the atmosphere to the portion sizes. This place deserves a much bigger crowd. We'll definitely be back!

There's no elevator, but they do have a stair lift chair for anyone who can't manage the stairs. The staff were warm, helpful, and welcoming, and the rooms felt comfortable and clean, with an old world charm. We also enjoyed very good restaurant food and generous portions. I'd highly recommend staying here.
