Cambria Suites Avon - Cleveland

The location is great, and nothing was outright bad. Still, the stay felt just okay, especially for $197 a night. The hotel isn’t in poor condition, but it could use a refresh, and the awkward room layout didn’t help. The TVs were around 32 inches and looked like laptop screens in such large rooms. For the price, it didn’t feel worth it, and I expected more from a Wyndham property. Nothing in the room felt fresh. The linens, sheets, couch, and pillows all seemed worn and tired. They weren’t dirty, just not crisp or clean-feeling, and the whole space had a slightly threadbare, used feel instead of being comfortable and inviting. I’d probably try somewhere else next time.

The bathroom was a 1/10, even though the room was 9/10 and the hotel was 9/10. The sink is so cramped between faucet and bowl that you can’t really soap up and wash your hands. At best, you can lay them flat along the porcelain and rinse. This was the same in all of our rooms. The toilet also takes quite a while to refill. And with no shower door, just a side piece blocking some water, plus a shower head that doesn’t move, water gets all over the bathroom. There were 10+ families there for a dance competition, and all of us had these same odd bathroom issues. Outside the bathroom, it’s a beautiful hotel with a nice lobby and bar, very friendly staff, and an amazing location. You can walk to three restaurants, ice cream, Costco, Target, and more.

After a long day driving, I got the clean, comfortable room I needed, and it exceeded what I expected. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff made me feel welcome. Pre-check-in and mobile check-out kept things quick and easy. I’d gladly stay again.

At Wyndham Avon, the staff are the best. They always greet you with a hello and a smile. The rooms are cozy, and I like the bar and the food you can order from the kitchen. When the weather’s nice, there are great places to sit around the hotel. I’ve never met a nicer staff.
