Mein Haus Bed & Breakfast

We were driving through Avon and needed somewhere at the last minute, so we were lucky to get a room for the night at Mein Haus. Tamera was warm and welcoming, and made us a delicious breakfast the next morning. We loved how clean everything was, the comfortable beds, and the no shoes policy. The house and rooms had everything we needed, and we really enjoyed chatting with Tamera. She was a delight to meet. We’ll definitely come back during ski season. Thank you for such a lovely stay. It was a pleasant weeknight stay for the Avon music in the park night, and the Inn is close enough to walk there. The Inn Keeper was lovely to talk with and a great cook. I also got to pick up some Mary Kay products. The bed was a little firm for my back, but some Zquil and stretching helped!

We’ve stayed here a few times and would give it more than five stars if we could. Dr. Todd and Tamara are wonderful hosts, welcoming and easy to talk with. Their hospitality, the cleanliness, breakfast, and the rooms and condo are all amazing. Dr. Todd is knowledgeable and has great stories and experience, and we’re glad we’ve had several chances to get to know them. The location makes it easy to park and get to the bus for the ski resort. There’s secure storage for ski gear in the main house. The rules make sense for keeping the place nice and clean for guests all year. They provide Crocs to wear inside, which might seem odd to some, but as an Asian person who grew up with indoor shoe rules, I understand. You wouldn’t want dirty shoes tracked through your house. There’s also a reminder joke in the main house about walking on wet floors that made me laugh. This is a Bed and Breakfast in someone’s home, not a hotel, and treating it that way makes the stay great. You can cook after a day skiing or doing other activities in the full kitchen. There are board games, books, and DVDs to borrow, plus a pool table in the main house. The hot tub is right outside and was easy to use. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. Tamara makes an amazing breakfast, both sweet and savory, including eggs Benedict and blueberry French toast. Highly recommend staying here while exploring beaver creek and vail.

I almost don’t want to write this because I want it available next time I come back, but they deserve the review. The location is hard to beat, and the place is impeccably clean. They give everyone brand new Crocs as house shoes, which kept outdoor dirt down and made things comfortable. Tamara and Todd made us feel so welcome, even after we hadn’t finished the online reservation, called after hours, and then showed up while they were off so they could help us check in. The care they show their guests is incredible. Breakfast was wonderful, and the whole property had an amazing vibe. Thanks to Todd, Tamara, and the whole team at Mein Haus for making us feel like family. We’re already planning our next trip back and can’t wait.
