Boston Marriott Long Wharf

Jeff welcomed us warmly on the second-floor lobby and was helpful and informative all weekend. He gave us ideas for our sisters’ getaway and suggested some nightlife spots. Thanks for the recommendation. Getting in was easy: valet staff greeted us as soon as we parked, and there was a luggage cart, plus escalators and elevators inside. There’s a Starbucks on the first floor, though drink service wasn’t very quick. Our room had two comfortable queen beds and had been updated. It didn’t have a bathrobe, but there was an ice bucket, two glasses, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, Q-tips, makeup wipes, lots of towels, and a hair dryer. The fridge stopped working early in our stay. It took three calls to the desk to get a replacement sent up, apparently because they were trying to reach engineering. The fitness center was the best I’ve seen at a hotel. There’s also a small pool overlooking the water and a great deck with tables and chairs. I did miss having a hot tub, which seems to be disappearing from hotels. Our booking included a food credit for each day, but the app wouldn’t let us order on the last day, so we lost that credit. That was disappointing since we had a two-hour drive home and wanted breakfast. The location is prime for nearby shopping and food, and Quincy Market was fun to walk around, with street performers and all. Very happy with our stay.

Everything was within walking distance, and we loved our stay. The hotel is right on the pier by the aquarium, in the financial district and close to Little Italy, 🇮🇹 State Street, and the Seaport. It’s a distinctive building, and Platinum Elite members and above can have buffet breakfast for free at the M-Club. There was construction on the escalator during our visit.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a fantastic time. The hotel has a pool, gym, delicious restaurant, valet, and a Starbucks downstairs. The location was great too. The escalators were under construction while we were there, which left an eyesore on several floors. We would have used them, but I’m sure the work had to be done. We also came hoping for a break from children, but the hotel felt very family-friendly. It mainly bothered us in the rooms, where kids ran along the walls with their hands and shouted in the halls. That was disruptive. We’d definitely come back.

We had a beautiful harbor view from our clean room, and the staff at the desk were accommodating and wonderful. We arrived an hour early, but they got us into our room right away. The sun deck beside the pool was a lovely spot to sit with coffee and enjoy the view. You can also get Starbucks on the lower level. The location was convenient and we walked everywhere. Our flight was canceled because of weather at our destination, so we made the most of the extra evening in Boston. Thanks to everyone who made it special.
