The service felt lackadaisical. When I arrived around 7, the front desk man was in the courtyard chatting on his phone. I waited about five minutes, then tapped on the window to get him to come in. He was friendly enough, but after a day of travel I didn’t need the banter about how he couldn’t stay behind the counter all day. We’re all working, aren’t we? I’m a fan of mid-century architecture, and Cross Keys is a very cool place. The Delta Hotel still has many iconic features from the latter half of the twentieth century, including casement windows, angled ceilings in the fourth-floor rooms, and nice transitions from the lobby to the courtyard. The elevators need thoughtful upgrades. Delta/Marriott corporate could take a look at what Hilton did with Hotel Marcel in New Haven. I think the place would improve if corporate leaned into its vintage character and restored it accordingly. Once that’s done, the staff could be trained to match.

My family always stays here when we visit my daughter at college. It’s tucked near several colleges, with spacious, clean rooms and restaurants and shops within walking distance. They provide free breakfast and parking too.

We ended up really enjoying our stay, thanks to Mr. Bowden and Keith. My stepmom had a procedure at MedStar UM, and we hadn’t expected to still be in Baltimore at 6 p.m. We decided to stay and were pleased. After a bad experience with a room cancellation, the local management made it right with care and concern for my stepmom, and offered a fair solution. Thank you.

I stay here at least once a month and love it. The rooms are huge, a bit dated, but super clean. Hotels updating every five years or so seems crazy to me. Save our earth, there’s no need for it. The staff are so sweet, and the parking garage is directly under the hotel with good spots always available. Breakfast is free and lovely. The gym is large and pretty much empty at night, but I wouldn’t recommend trying to get in during the day.

I was here for work and really appreciated all the restaurants nearby. The hotel sits in a small complex with Mexican, Chinese, and Italian/New American full-service restaurants, plus a very good coffee, bread, and pastry shop with solid breakfast and lunch choices, an ice cream shop, and stores including a Williams-Sonoma. It’s a unique place. Everyone I spoke with at the hotel was friendly and helpful with my simple requests.
