The Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore

The bed was so comfortable and even smelled nice, which I really appreciated. Our first stay here was a great one: the staff were welcoming from the concierge to everyone at our work holiday party, and the room, lobby, and shared spaces were all clean. Being right in the Inner Harbour with those views was lovely too. We’re already looking forward to coming back ♡

The rooms are roomy, though they feel a bit dated, and the location near the harbor makes it easy to walk to attractions like the aquarium. Pool hours are generous and it’s heated; the small gym still has most of what you need, plus two newer Peloton bikes in a separate room. Staff were friendly, but the desk seemed understaffed, with a long queue when I checked in and out because there was just one person. They fixed my A/C issue fairly quickly. Parking is in an adjacent garage that’s a little maze to reach, and you need to give the desk your plate number for the discount. For the price, the location and amenities make decent value in Baltimore.

Kevin at the Explorer Cafe, along with Adrianne and Danielle at the Formula Expresso, made my visit feel special. They were warm, professional, and fun to talk to, and had me laughing and feeling like family. I had an amazing stay and hope to return often.

The harbor-view rooms look lovely at night, and the hotel is peaceful, with clean facilities and welcoming staff. It’s an older building with some modern decor that works well. There’s a cafe, restaurant, and bar, and guests get 10% off the bill; I just wish they stayed open longer and offered room service for late-night food or drinks. Other restaurants and shops are an easy walk away too.
