Harborside Hotel Marina And Spa

The bay view from our very spacious room was great, and it was a lovely place to watch the sunset. We were impressed with the Harborside and could walk everywhere around town. We had a great stay and would come back if we return to Bar Harbor.

We liked the bracelet room keys, and our clean, comfortable room had a nice view of the water. The lobby was beautiful and cozy, with a fire going on a cool night. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We only stayed overnight after our original hotel moved our reservation here, so we didn’t get to explore the other options. One small issue: the coffee maker was kept in a cabinet and couldn’t be pulled out far enough to open the top and put in a pod.

Dinner at the restaurant bar was well prepared with generous portions, and Ray Ray was a delightful, attentive bartender. I also had a good experience at the spa, where Alyssa focused on finding the right treatment for me. Zoe at the front desk was pleasantly helpful at check-in, and Anna in housekeeping took care of my special requests. There was easy parking, a friendly doorman greeting guests, and a warm, inviting lobby. My one change would be the bright hallway lighting. I stayed at Harborside while hiking Acadia NP during peak autumn season. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a relaxing harbor view and the pool in the foreground. The luxurious robes were a nice extra.

The location alone would bring us back. Restaurants and shops are just a few minutes’ walk away, and plenty of great Acadia trails are about a ten-minute drive. The hotel itself was also great: free, easy parking, friendly and accommodating staff, and a clean, up-to-date room of decent size. We didn’t expect amenities like these in Maine. The heated pool, spa, common areas, and especially the lobby were all enjoyable. The free laundry rooms were clean and not in a basement, which was a real bonus, and the gym was nice too. Pay extra for a view room, it’s worth it.
