Island Place

The gardens were beautiful, and there was a deck sitting area right outside our room where we could relax with coffee. Our room was immaculate, cute, and quaint, and parking right out front was very convenient. Island Place is perfectly situated for an easy walk to downtown Bar Harbor and a quick drive to Acadia National Park. Kim was so friendly at check-in and gave us lots of useful local information. We also met the owner when checking out, and she was kind and personable. We'd definitely return for the cleanliness and great location. Highly recommend!

Island Place was the highlight of the fall foliage trip to Maine my wife and I had planned for over a year. The locally owned inn exceeded our expectations. The owner greeted us herself and made us feel like family. Fresh hot coffee was always available, and we got great restaurant tips and suggestions for things to do beyond Acadia National Park. It was clear they cared about our experience. We could easily walk a few blocks to downtown Bar Harbor's restaurants and shops, which saved parking hassle and let us enjoy the area. Acadia National Park is close by, too. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated having TWO comfortable chairs to unwind in after exploring. Their warmth and thoughtfulness made our special trip feel magical. I would give Island Place 10 stars without hesitation. Do yourself a favor and book here, you won't be disappointed. It's the kind of genuine hospitality and location that makes travel meaningful. We can't wait to return!

The front desk staff were lovely, helpful with restaurant suggestions and locations, and happy to chat and share information. We were very happy with our stay. The room was spacious and clean. Out front, we could leave the car parked in a convenient spot, and there was a water refill station for hikes plus coffee in the front office. The location is excellent in Bar Harbor, close to restaurants, shops, and the water. Acadia National Park was usually within a 15-minute drive, or 20 minutes at most.

This was a super cute Inn, very clean, and the owner was the sweetest. She gave us lots of useful information at check-in and during the trip, including ways to get into Acadia National Park and details about the free bus shuttle that also carries bikes for free. It's an easy walk to Bar Harbor's main strip, with plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. We'd definitely stay again!
