The food was excellent, with a really broad range of breakfast choices, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and charming. But what stood out most was the hospitality. Joseph and the staff were welcoming and thoughtful about making sure we had what we needed. Joseph remembered that I liked pumpkin bread and surprised us with slices to take on a hike. It felt a little like having your mom look after you.

Our first bed and breakfast experience was excellent. The shore path is beautiful, and the walk into downtown took less than 10 minutes. The owners were kind and accommodating, bringing out freshly made breakfasts each morning and snacks in the late afternoon. They seemed to love hosting, and whenever we asked, they had great recommendations.

We loved our three nights here. Elizabeth greeted us with wine and homemade desserts, and breakfast was fresh, homemade, and had a great selection. Tea was available all day. The cottage has a great view and sits in a quiet spot, yet town and the shore path trail are only a short walk away. Elizabeth really is an amazing host.

Lisbeth and Roberta were flexible and so accommodating. The home itself was lovely, and our room was wonderful. It’s right on the shore path that leads straight into town. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast and the afternoon wine treat. What a beautiful, delightful bed and breakfast. I’d highly recommend Shore Path Cottage.

Lisabeth was a lovely host and knew all the ins and outs of Bar Harbor. Her suggestions for places to see and visit were excellent. We had a wonderful stay at Shorepath Cottage, with delicious breakfast, afternoon sweet treats, and cozy, comfortable accommodations. The location was perfect, and we hope to come back soon.
