Our sheets were dirty, which made us uncomfortable, and we kept trying to reach the manager about it. Every time, we were told the manager wasn’t available or wasn’t there. The lack of cleanliness, transparency, and accountability made the stay really frustrating. I expected better from a Marriott property. We booked this Courtyard by Marriott partly because it was advertised with a pool, but that turned out to be misleading. We were told the pool was in a completely different building, something never mentioned in the listing or when we booked. To me, that felt like false advertising.

A nearby concert was cancelled and threw off our plans, but Eva turned the evening into one of the best times ever. She was warm, friendly, professional, hardworking, and so kind. She also mixed great cocktails for my girlfriends and me. We’d book Courtyard by Marriott again just to thank her. They’re so lucky to have her.

We didn’t stay. Our room was dirty, with drink stains on the counter and prescription eye drops on the floor. There were sticky notes down the hall with really inappropriate sexual content, and the place smelled like weed. A car had been broken into that morning, and the broken window was still in the parking lot. When we politely told the attendant, she said, “good luck finding another hotel.” We’d already booked at the Hilton, asked for a refund, and plan to dispute the charge.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The stay was decent, though I wish the rooms were a bit bigger. Breakfast choices also seemed more expensive than they should be.
