Old Kentucky Home Motel

The workers were nice, and once we got inside, the beds were really comfortable. Road noise wasn't too bad, and with a buffet restaurant right across the street, we were snug and well fed for the night. We were on a bike tour, and when we first pulled up, our reaction was, “Uh oh, is this gonna be okay?” The place looked dated and sits fairly close to the road. The screen door handle was damaged. We'd stay here again.

A comfortable bed, clean room, coffee maker in the room, and really friendly staff, all for a great price. It's in a nice spot in a cute little town. If you want somewhere to stay without spending much, this is the place.

Stay somewhere else and pay a little more. We had cockroaches in the rooms and no hot water for three days, so I had to drive an hour to a truck stop to shower. That cost me $12, plus gas. When I asked them to cover the shower cost, they said it wasn't their fault they couldn't provide hot water. Staff would leave our room doors open and disappear, and they walked into the room without knocking. They even asked us to take trash to the big dumpster to help reduce the roaches. When I said I'd write a review, they got super mad and told me to leave their hotel. Stay away.

We arrived late and left early, so we didn't spend much time outside our room. It was clean, though the air freshener was a bit strong for us. The staff were pleasant and made us feel at home, and the stay was nice.
