I'm really going to miss this place and the wonderful hospitality of the three owners. King Co. bought the whole development, and now they're tearing it all down with an excavator. They bought five homes and a beautiful, huge barn that looked almost new, just to demolish everything. The total was over $2.5 million. That could've been a place for company picnics or a youth study hall, or somewhere seniors could play bingo and hold meetings. They say it's in the flood zone, okay, but it never flooded before, not even during the 100-year flood in '92. They must have money to burn. I wish I did.
