Maplecroft Bed & Breakfast

Breakfast was delicious: steaming coffee, fruit, and pancakes. Caryn made gluten free ones for me and regular pancakes for everyone else. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests over breakfast and talking with Caryn about football and the Olympics. Today is superbowl Sunday, and day 2 of the 2026 winter Olympics. My partner and I came to get out of town for a night in the Mary Mackie room, and Caryn made us feel very welcome in her home. She let us know right away that the mini split heater wouldn't work because it was below zero, and offered a tower space heater. We didn't need it, since the two radiators kept the room SO cozy. If we're back in town, we have to stay at Maplecroft again.

We were comfortable in the private apartment, which had a bathroom, TV room, and kitchen. Breakfast the next morning, on New Year's Day, was French toast. Waiting for it felt a bit awkward: there was room for us to squeeze into the dining room, but the host was talking politics with the other guests, and we didn't feel welcome. She later called us in and said she hadn't seen us because she was making breakfast. We checked out on time at 11am. Aside from that minor issue, the stay was comfortable. We were there for New Year’s Eve and left after breakfast.

The host was incredibly nice and made a delicious homemade breakfast. The place is very clean, well located, and parking is easy. Be sure to reserve on their website, since travel websites charge extra.

It’s a fancy place, conveniently located near lots of other places. Our stay was quiet and clean, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. We’d totally stay here again.
