Baymont by Wyndham Bartonsville Poconos

We had a peaceful stay, and my four-year-old was so happy there that they didn’t want to leave. The hotel lounge was a favorite, especially the excellent pomegranate martini. When snow meant we had to add a night, they gave us 15 percent off the extra night. The main drawback is that the place needs updating, especially the pool and hot tub. They looked very run down, and condensation made water drip from the ceiling.

Stephanie and Jayla at the front desk made the visit feel welcoming from the start. They were friendly, patient, and ready to help, and the other staff were kind too, checking in without hovering. I traveled with my dog and found Baymont very accommodating and pet-friendly. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with fresh beds, a well-stocked bathroom, plenty of towels and hot water, and a layout that made it easy to settle in. The place felt calm and safe throughout. There was plenty of coffee and easy access to what I needed. It was a smooth, relaxing stay, and I’ll come back.

We had a good weekend and plan to come back next year. It’s hard to find somewhere that allows our dog Diesel, and the hotel is about 15 minutes from camelback resort. The bar and restaurant were nice, the food and drinks were good, and the staff were excellent. Our family of four and German shepherd stayed in the king suite with bunk beds. The room worked well for a weekend, though I wouldn’t want to stay longer. The couch wasn’t clean, so I covered it with a sheet, and the bunk bed sheets and pillows looked old and ragged. I was glad I’d brought my own sheets and pillowcases. Even though it was a non-smoking room, I kept noticing a cigarette smell. I wish the room were cleaner and the bathroom a little bigger, but we had fun.

When the last snowstorm hit, the staff looked after everyone and left shovels and sweepers for us to dig out our cars. We love coming here for a few days, and it’s become our home away from home. The rooms are great, everyone is consistently friendly and helpful, and the food at The Lounge is always fantastic. Wyndham headquarters should have the people here train their employees in etiquette and compassion. Our interactions with headquarters are always terrible. Baymont staff, keep up the great work. We’ll be back! :)
