La Mirage Inn - Long Beach

The rooms had nice, bright colors, and the place was okay otherwise. What put us off was being told we could return, so we booked another night. When we came back to pay, they said our reservation had been canceled. We asked why and got no explanation, then were told they were booked. It felt rude and really unprofessional, and we had to find a different hotel.

We booked this motel because they advertised a shuttle to the cruise port, but there wasn't one. They didn't apologize, and we had to take a cab. We won't be back, and I plan to post this on hotel booking sites. The towels and sheets were stained, and there was black mold on the shower curtain. I have pictures. The bathroom wall had a hole, the building needs repairs and fresh paint, and food and garbage were scattered around the outside area. There was no closet or clothes hangers, and the place smelled like Marijuana. The front desk guy was rude and acted like I was bothering him.

We arrived two hours before check-in and they were able to accommodate us. The room was very clean and had a fresh, pleasant scent. Great customer service. We'll stay again next time we're in Long Beach ⛱️

The manager was nice, and the room was large. It came with a refrigerator and microwave, but there was no closet, and we had to haul our luggage up two flights of stairs. When it gets cold, the door could use insulation to keep the heat in. I won't return.
