Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bastrop by IHG

The building is getting a little old, but the staff work so hard to keep it meticulously clean. Breakfast was hot and delicious, and they handled every request. Huge thanks to Kimberly at the front desk for saving my whole day. She knows what she did.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The breakfast was delicious, well stocked, and everything was clean. At check-in, the receptionist was kind and helpful, got us in early, and arranged for our rooms to be together. Kim was just as nice, fun, helpful, and accommodating when we checked out. We highly recommend this Holiday Inn in Bastrop, TX. Thank you all, 10 stars!

I got back from dinner and the room was still hot and sticky, just as it had been when I first turned on the AC. Eli from the front desk came to look, then said he'd call maintenance to replace the unit at 11 pm. Why wasn't it fixed while the room was unoccupied, or at the last minute before? I had a terrible night and woke up drenched in sweat. Room 124's AC keeps showing code A2 on the display, a note for maintenance, though I doubt it'll get fixed anytime soon.

For a family of seven, hotel travel usually isn't fun, so we jumped at the double king room when the front desk clerk mentioned it. It's probably the best room we've stayed in. One room had a king bed and a full size pullout couch, and the other had another king. Everything was clean. We were late for breakfast, but the staff let us grab food before they closed, which we really appreciated. My one complaint is that the tub was slippery. It had a grab bar and some grips, but in my opinion it needs more.
