Rodeway Inn Suites East I-44

The lobby was inviting and looked nice, and the staff I encountered were all pleasant. Service was okay. The room had a strange smell, and its refrigerator was very noisy. Outside the window was a small courtyard enclosed by a low brick wall, but it wasn't maintained and was crowded with AC units. The hallway and side stairwell also seemed overdue for a deep clean and smelled like old cigarettes.

The employees were extremely nice and helpful, and they took care of our concerns quickly. One bed had stained sheets and a light bulb was burned out. The pool and hot tub were excellent. Breakfast was pretty sparse, with about three kinds of cereal, bananas, packaged cinnamon rolls, juice, and coffee. I'd still recommend staying overnight.

My room was great for the price, with a small living area, sleeper sofa, comfortable bed, microwave, fridge, and all the basics. The lobby made a good first impression, spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with a TV and seating. From the entrance you could see the breakfast area, fitness center, and pool. The host greeted me, was quick and friendly, and offered to help with my bags. There were laundry facilities and vending machines, too. Parking was well lit. Since it's beside the highway, ask for a room on the other side if you need a quiet night's sleep. I noticed the bathroom fixtures were dated and some ceiling paint still needed finishing after a patch job. I've seen a lot of unfairly negative posts about this place. It was a very good deal, and I'll stay here whenever I'm passing through town 😊

The bed was comfortable, and both the room and lobby were clean, neat, and nice. Breakfast was the letdown: if cold cereal and toast are what you want, you're set, but that was all the solid food besides an apple. No eggs, pancakes, or waffles, which surprised me after other Choice hotels. The rate was very reasonable, though, and I'd stay again. I'd just plan to get breakfast somewhere else.
