Candlewood Suites Tulsa

The rooms are spacious, but ours wasn’t clean, and I expected better. The bed had dirty sheets with what looked like fresh dried blood, not an old stain. Used dishes and utensils had been put back in drawers and cabinets without being washed. The AC only worked about half the time, the dishwasher leaked across the floor, and the weekend was so loud we got no rest. People upstairs sounded like they were dropping things and rearranging furniture all night. We’d booked 4 nights but checked out after just 1. The place felt run-down, and the guests looked and acted sketchy, so we didn’t feel safe. That’s the sort of environment I’d expect around 31st and memorial area, not 71st ST area. If you’re not from Tulsa, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. My dad’s IHG points paid for the room, and they should really be given back to him, especially since we left it in better shape than it was in when we arrived.

The owners should update the bathrooms, but the suite worked out perfectly for us with its in-room kitchen. Thank you again, MsRonda. I won’t forget your kindness.

Calling to book was a great experience. She explained which rooms had a recliner and went over the pet policy, so we knew what to expect when we arrived. Check-in took longer than at other places because the person helping me kept going into the office to ask someone about each step, but she was very pleasant and told me everything I expected. The room suited us perfectly because of the recliner. We couldn’t figure out how to set the AC so it wouldn’t keep running, but we managed to turn it off using the room’s breaker switch. There’s a fan in the wall of the private bedroom that blows into the living room, so light and noise from the living room came into the bedroom. For a sleepy person, though, it worked well. The refrigerator and microwave were top notch for us. I’m glad I got to try this place, and hope they’ll adjust their pet policy someday for our toy poodle.

The washer and dryer being free was a nice extra, and our room was comfortable and clean. The staff were quick to help and especially attentive. Kelsey and Jeremy really went out of their way for us. We’d gladly recommend Candlewood Suites for work trips or vacations.
