Tropicana Motel

The website says there’s an inground pool, but it’s been filled in and turned into a basketball court. Traffic outside is very loud, and there are big potholes in the parking lot. My boyfriend travels for work and has to find places for long stays, and on several occasions I couldn’t find anyone in the hotel office. I rang the doorbell and got no response. It’s really hard to catch someone there. Housekeeping needs work too. During one weeklong stay, they didn’t even change the bedding. There were roaches and large water bugs in the room. I wondered if my boyfriend wasn’t tipping enough, so I tipped the housekeeper myself, hoping it might help, but it didn’t. On my second visit, the bedding had been changed, but the floors were filthy and left my feet black. The quilt hadn’t been changed, and the towels were stained.

This is a simple place to rest your head, not somewhere fancy or bougie. The rooms are quite large and comfortable, and the area is pretty quiet. Check-in was quick and easy, and having all the rooms on the first floor made loading and unloading the car easy. It’s a great option if you need somewhere affordable and convenient. I’d recommend it and would stay here again.

Cute, comfy, clean, and cheap enough! Nothing fancy, just a basic king room with a desk and fridge. There’s no coffeemaker or breakfast buffet, but I’d read a review mentioning a little grill next door with great breakfast. Book online, since it was $15 more to book in person. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

The rooms are extra large, clean, and up to date, with no odors, comfortable bedding, real blankets under the bedspread, a big ceiling fan, and bright lighting. The water gets super hot and has great pressure. Every room is on the first floor with direct access to your car, which makes luggage easy to carry. The location is quiet and safe, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, a laundromat, gas stations, and many other great places. Management is flexible about your schedule and extremely helpful. I’d definitely stay here if I’m in the area.
