Days Inn by Wyndham Batesville

The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've slept on. The room was dirty and smelled like weed, with a broken mirror, cigarette burns in the bedding, and ashes in the toilet. The phone was broken too, so you couldn't call the front desk if you needed to. Okay.

The bed was so uncomfortable that my back hurt even worse after trying to sleep than it had before. The room reeked of marijuana, the phone was broken, and there were cigarette or cigar burns in the bedding. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're on a budget and have no other options.

We stopped here for one night on the drive home from vacation. The price was decent, check-in was quick and easy, and the room was quiet and clean. The bed was very comfy, the A/C was quiet, and there were plenty of washcloths, towels, and travel-size soaps, shampoos, and conditioners. The pool was covered and not in use. Breakfast was available, with yogurt, apples, bagels, cereal, muffins, and coffee, though one coffee container was already empty at 7:30 a.m. We went to a nearby Waffle House instead. The coffee we did get was good.

The worker was sweet, and I felt sorry for her. The people ahead of me demanded a refund and left. Our key opened both our door and the neighboring rooms, which felt unsafe. The first room had no working TV; the second had one, but the bedspread was filthy with crusty stains and there was hair on the sheet that wasn't mine. I asked them to change the bedding. We would've found somewhere else if we could. There was no bath mat or rails, and my older father slipped and fell. The bathroom wall was moldy, and this was one of the sketchiest places I've stayed. It's a motel with doors outside. Don't do it, pay more if you can. Just say no.
