Days Inn by Wyndham Baton Rouge/I-10

The bed was okay, but the shower wall in the bathroom was disgusting, with something like crap on it, and the toilet didn't flush properly. The hair dryer was smoking and sounded like a chainsaw, which seems like a fire hazard. Housekeeping should check those before offering a room. For breakfast, McDonald's would be a better choice.

I chose this mostly because the rate was good for the night. The man who checked us in was super nice, but the room smelled like water had soaked everything and not dried properly. In the morning, I opened the shower curtain and saw a roach staring back at me. The beds felt like hard cardboard display beds, and it felt like the carpet floor had water in it when I walked. For just a few hours of sleep it was fine, but I wouldn't stay again.

The whole hotel and our room smelled strongly of weed and cigarette smoke. The blankets and sheets were dirty, and the bathroom was disgusting. In the elevator I saw a worker sweeping up spilled popcorn, then sweeping it into the gap in the elevator shaft instead of cleaning it properly. When I said that would attract bugs, she shrugged and said, “We have plenty already.” That says it all. Save yourself the trouble, your car would honestly be a better place to stay.

I stayed at the Days Inn in October 2025 and had a horrible experience. People were drinking and getting high in the back parking lot by the pool, which felt unsafe and unclean. Inside, the room smelled of mildew and we were greeted by big and small roaches. The front desk person was rude, and when I reported the roaches, they told me they didn't have any. I asked for management and got the nastiest attitude from the manager over the phone. The same person who denied having roaches offered me roach spray. After I made a fuss, they said I could leave, so my wife, our four young kids, and I had to find another hotel at 1am. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even as a last-minute option.
