I came to broken bow with about 11 family members on 03/06/26 around 10pm, mainly to take my mom to this casino for her 60th birthday. We planned to visit every day while in town, and had hoped to spend the week there. There were exactly 12 of us, two were 18 and everyone else was 21 or older. Ten family members joined the rewards club and earned 17 spring break shirts through the promotion, though not everyone wore one for the photo. I brought in outside alcohol, which I now understand wasn’t allowed. I thought it was okay as long as we were spending money. I accept that I broke a rule, and I would have been fine being asked to dispose of it or return it to my vehicle. Instead, an angry female employee looked at me with disgust and pointed me out to 4 or 5 security officers, saying, “that one has a bottle.” It felt demeaning, like I was an animal. A security officer asked if I had a bottle. I said yes, and he told me I couldn’t have it and had to leave. I said okay, told my family I’d meet them outside, and left. The rest of them came out 5 minutes later. The way it was handled felt aggressive and intimidating, when the situation didn’t call for that. The employee never spoke to me, but approached as if she’d already told me several times. It was embarrassing and mortifying, especially since I’d planned the whole trip around the casino. The experience left a bad taste in our mouths. Please have staff communicate better and avoid escalating things. My brother-in-law also had his wallet stolen. We asked security for help. They were nice, but didn’t do anything. We suspected someone at the slots had taken it, and that turned out to be right. After we’d already asked him and checked under his seat, the man eventually came over and said he’d found it there. That was my only other interaction with staff. The security team seemed nice, and from their faces I got the impression the female employee was making them kick me out.
We couldn’t get to our cabin for several days during the ice storm, so we booked a room at Choctaw Landing instead and were truly impressed. The staff had already been working several nights in a row because of the weather, yet stayed positive, attentive, and focused on good service. Their dedication made a stressful situation much easier.
The artwork is gorgeous, and I really like that it’s smoke-free. The pool looks amazing, but the fitness center was a letdown. I wish there were more things to do nearby or on site during the cold months.
There’s plenty of parking, and the free valet is a nice touch. The employees were friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and a good size, with a fantastic view of the pool, and the price feels like good value. Best of all, there’s no smoking or vaping in the casino, so it actually smells good inside.
The noise from a concert next to our room was very loud, even with a sound machine running and earplugs in. We hadn’t been told there would be a late concert, and it started as we were putting our two little ones to bed. My husband complained and was offered earplugs, then spoke to management when that didn’t solve it. They worked out a resolution, and we felt well taken care of. I hate making an issue, but we’d traveled a long way with the kids and I had work nearby the next morning for an intimate wedding. We’d stayed one night after visiting Broken Bow, where we’ve been a few times and usually rent a cabin. Check-in was easy and everyone was friendly. The hotel was family friendly, and our room was clean and spacious for four. I do wish they had pack and plays or cribs. The kids loved the play area, and we enjoyed having starbucks nearby lol. We appreciated how the staff accommodated us, enjoyed our time, and are excited to see the expansion and stay again.
