The room looked like it had never been updated, and the paint, carpet, and curtains were dirty. There were roaches, and the sheets had holes and stains. We weren't given enough towels by housekeeping or the office staff, so thank goodness I'd brought small towels and trash bags. The phone was broken and the TV had no cable. What a waste. Better to pay more for a better room.

My husband booked this at the last minute, but we didn't stay the night. The hotel smelled horrible, and when I checked beneath the mattress cover, fleas were crawling and jumping everywhere. There were roaches all over, mold on the ceilings, crumbling bathroom tile, and a ceiling that looked patched with popcorn. It was so nasty I was literally in tears. This place should be torn down. I do NOT recommend it.

A $50 room doesn't need to be fancy, and the outdated, run-down condition was no surprise. But I do expect somewhere safe and clean. There was black mold on the wall, the bathroom was gross, and the breakfast area was filthy and poorly kept. I stayed only because I was exhausted and hadn't noticed before falling asleep. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

As a Diamond member with Choice Privileges, this was by far the worst "hotel" I've stayed at in decades. Choice Hotels needs minimum standards for its franchisees and properties. The lobby stays closed, so service came through a bulletproof window and was poor. I didn't want to report the other problems to them. I fixed the TV to get a picture and the toilet to stop it constantly filling. After seeing the condition of the supposedly clean sheets, I slept in a chair. The owner seems to care about taking money from unsuspecting travelers, not the property.
