The location and pool were nice, and I slept really well. I also loved having filtered water right at the kitchen sink. The gym was one of the best hotel gyms I’ve used, with equipment that really impressed me, and the fresh evening tea was a nice extra. There was a made-to-order breakfast menu too, though I didn’t try it. I wish they’d leave at least a few towels out by the pool deck. My room looked a bit worn, with stains on the office chair and loveseat that made me avoid sitting there, plus a patched spot where the towel rack had been moved. I enjoyed the stay and amenities and would come back, hoping for a cleaner room.

After moving to Baton Rouge about a month ago, I ended up making Element Hotel my home for a month. The staff made sure I was comfortable, and I didn’t have a single bad day there. The food was great and the service was excellent. Ms. Wykita, I hope I’ve got your name right, you were wonderful. Ms. Maria went above and beyond with housekeeping, and Mrs. Serviette did a great job with breakfast. I think the person who greeted me after my 14-hour shifts was named Teralyn. She always had a smile and fresh popcorn or hot tea waiting to help me unwind. Thanks to everyone at Element Hotel Baton Rouge for making my move so easy.

The area around the hotel seemed pleasant and safe, and everyone I met was friendly, especially the women handling breakfast. Check-in and check-out each took a short wait because nobody was at the front desk at first, but someone came by after a couple of minutes. My room was a good size and mostly clean, though there was debris in several floor corners and some stains on the shower floor. Those weren’t major concerns for me.

The hotel is still comfortable, with nice amenities, and I enjoyed the complimentary wine and tea at the daily happy hour on my first visit. The rooms were modern and clean then, and the staff were friendly. On my more recent stays, service has felt less welcoming and less dependable. I once asked for a shower gel refill and it took two days, and even then it wasn’t sorted out properly. After housekeeping had been through, I also found a dead cricket on the floor. So the place itself is still nice, but the care and service can vary from one visit to the next.

My husband and I came to Baton Rouge for a short anniversary road trip, and after comparing hotels for cleanliness, looks, and price, we found the Element to be the best value I’ve stayed at. The room was modern and very clean, with a microwave, fridge, paper towels, a sink, dish soap, plates, and silverware. Housekeeping came every other day as stated. There were loads of included extras too: parking, breakfast with warm made-to-order food, coffee, a fitness center, happy hour drinks, and bike rental. The staff were friendly and helpful. We both said we’d look for an Element in other cities when traveling on a budget. It had the comfort and cleanliness of a fancy hotel with useful free services and a budget-friendly price. It made us wonder why we’d paid so much elsewhere for parking or even water. We’d definitely return.
