Hilton Garden Inn Baton Rouge Airport

Top-notch service and staff, nice rooms, and amazing food. It’s a great place to stay when you’re away from home or just need a hotel in Baton Rouge. I dare you to set the AC to 60, it’ll run you right out of the room. Seriously, you won’t regret staying here.

The location is convenient and my room was clean, though the hotel could use an update. The staff were the reason I’ll come back. Their systems were down when I arrived, but they apologized and I was able to check in with the Hilton app and digital key. About an hour later I went back because I prefer a key card. The systems were still down, but they managed to make one for me. Shoutout to Adeline at the front desk, she was helpful and kind.

That odd blue paint with the semi-gloss finish made the place feel like a cheap Motel. Breakfast service was awful. The server ignored me until the front desk supervisor paused their conversation and noticed I’d been staring for several minutes. Instead of coming over, they called across the dining room to ask if I needed something. I asked for a menu. They had to find one tucked on the top shelf of a cabinet behind the bar, then held it out for me to reach and walked away without offering a drink. A few minutes later, the server called from across the room again and told me to go ask the chef if I wanted to order. I’ve been a Hilton Diamond member for over 10 consecutive years, and this Hilton Garden Inn didn’t meet the hospitality or brand standards I’m used to. HGI is my favorite hotel brand because of its calming interiors and better breakfast service, but this location missed on both. I will never stay here again.

I had a last-minute job change to Baton Rouge, so I checked into the Garden Inn since Hilton is my usual brand. Ladarius at the front desk was outstanding, friendly, efficient, and very accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Great facility!
