I had the king suite with a jacuzzi at The Shades, and it was immaculate. The shower gleamed, the sheets were spotless, and the jacuzzi was huge with powerful jets. The TV was great, and the large refrigerator and microwave were super clean, too. Whoever does the housekeeping must have serious cleaning powers. You don’t get a room this nice at some five-star hotels. The people running the motel are extremely friendly. Next time we’re in Baton Rouge, we’ll book at The Shades.

My husband and I have stayed here more than a few times. It’s cleaner and more decent than most of the motels around here. The customer service is nice and very prompt, and the people are truly considerate of guests’ concerns and needs. Thank you!

The surroundings were peaceful and safe, and the location was convenient. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and had all the essentials I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were warm, very friendly, and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. I appreciated the attention to detail and welcoming atmosphere. I had an amazing, hassle-free stay and would highly recommend this motel.

I come here every month, and I can't see myself staying anywhere else. I'm hard to please, but the staff made this feel like a home away from home. The room was clean, there was plenty of hot water, and both the evening woman and the morning gentleman were friendly and helpful. Thanks to all the staff and management. God bless.

We felt safe here with the 24/7 security guard. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping cleaned ours each day. It’s also close to fast food places. We stayed a couple of days and would definitely come back.
