The room was clean and bigger than I expected, and the hot breakfast had sausage biscuits and other hot items. We had no other issues and I’d stay here again. I booked one night to get my family back to Houston. At check-in, I was told the reservation had been canceled, though the Marriott Bonvoy app said to report if arriving after 4 PM, with different notice periods depending on the arrival time. I’d first entered 6 PM the day before, then changed it to 4:30 PM after checking the GPS. I don’t remember exactly why the front desk staff member said it was canceled, but I was able to make a new reservation. The room had a smell like an old dish rag or wet carpet, and I couldn’t find where it was coming from.

The woman at the front desk was incredibly friendly both evenings, and check-in was the fastest I’ve ever had. We appreciated that with our two very tired kids under 2. We stayed two nights the weekend before Christmas and, despite some recent negative reviews, were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The TV wouldn’t connect to the internet. When we mentioned it, the man on duty said fixing it would take several hours or offered to move us, which wasn’t practical with two babies when we were just trying to keep our oldest from waking everyone. There was no road noise, and the basic free breakfast was decent. We’d stay again.

There wasn’t great dining nearby, and we won’t stay here again. Our room was noisy, especially from the room above, though we also heard the adjacent room. I guess the noisy AC helped. The room, particularly the bathroom, wasn’t especially clean. We asked for extra pillows, but were told they didn’t have any.

I left early because the place made me feel gross. Six months ago it seemed like a nice hotel, but this stay was pathetic. There were lots of small broken things, and the lobby floor was clearly dirty. The room felt grimy, as if it had been wiped with a wet rag. The AC was set so high that the room was humid and the carpet damp. At least, I hope that’s why it was damp. I stayed four days, and nobody cleaned the room. There weren’t trash cans large enough, so trash piled up on the floor and counter. A white trash bag sat in the hallway by the elevator for all but one day. Completely nasty. The little touches were gone too, no bananas in the lobby, and breakfast was like a cheap Best Western motel, the quintessential cheap hotel spread. They didn’t even put lemons, limes, or ice in the lobby water pitcher. Stay at the Hilton across the road. It’s cleaner and less expensive.
