Sleep Inn & Suites Jasper I-22

We booked two nights starting Monday and paid $278 with tax. It’s clean and felt safe, right off I-22, about five miles from downtown, with a few restaurants next door. Most of the free hot breakfast was good, and the good outweighed the annoyances enough that we’d stay again. A few things could be better. The eggs on the free buffet looked watery and pasty, the sausage patties seemed microwaved before going into the chafing dish, and the gravy looked mostly like milk. There were waffles, juice, and croissants, though. Bathroom lighting is poor, so the ladies may want a portable makeup mirror or light. The in-room coffee maker doesn’t take pods. When we arrived, the fridge was on but barely cold. I called the desk, and the woman said, “it’s not really a fridge, it’s more likely a cooler”. Then there was 10 seconds of silence. After we came back from town, the room hadn’t been cleaned, the garbage hadn’t been taken out, and we had no fresh towels. At the desk, I asked why and for clean towels. The staff member said they only clean on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I sarcastically said we must have booked on the wrong day. Seven seconds of silence followed, then she kindly brought new towels.

The bed was very comfortable for me, and the place felt clean and safe. The location is OK depending on what brings you to town. My main issue is the price. For that cost, I’d expect the amenities to be more up to date and better.

It’s new, very clean, and quiet all night. There’s a nice patio with a BBQ area, and it’s dog friendly. Food and fuel are both close by.

I’ve stayed here with my dogs and found it super clean, with friendly staff and plenty of pillows and towels. Breakfast has decent options for a hotel, and there’s a spot to walk the dogs plus a nice little patio with a grill. Getting the Choice Hotels app can save you money. I visit family in this town often, and for the price this is one of the better hotels to choose. I’ll be back!
