The gentleman serving breakfast on Sunday was so kind to my grandson and did a great job. I was traveling with my 4-year-old grandson, and we had a great time. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet, and the location worked well for visiting the zoo, shopping, and dining.

The breakfast was pretty minimal for a hotel in this price range, and the carpet wasn't clean. Still, the bathroom was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the HVAC unit worked well without much noise. This stay was a little better than the one I had about a year and a half ago. The staff were excellent, friendly, professional, and efficient, and the room seemed somewhat refreshed.

I'm writing this quickly after checking out because I've had several medical emergencies since then. I hope the employees at Baymont and future guests with disabilities see it. I'd stayed here for several weeks in total this year and really liked the hotel and the professionalism of the staff. I also had a good relationship with the manager, Nicole, who inspired me to use the hotel as a home base while I worked on digital nomad projects. She had a great mix of warmth and corporate expertise. Maybe corporate can figure out the backstory. I won't get into it, but something was clearly going on. At one point I needed to extend my booking. I was told there wasn't much space, so I'd have to switch rooms the following week. I agreed, and they said I'd move the next Friday. But the Thursday before, housekeeping knocked and asked when I was leaving, then handed me the phone with Rachel on the line. She was aggressively demanding to know what was happening. I could hear her yelling at the housekeepers before I even had the phone. She was shouting so much I could barely speak, then demanded I get out of the room ASAP while two housekeepers watched me pack, like I was on the Titanic. I'm disabled, and even packing is difficult for me. As I was finishing, the housekeeper passed me the phone again. Rachel said, “Good news, you can stay one more night, but I need you out by 8 or 9 a.m. tomorrow morning at the latest. Doesn't that sound good to you?” I said it didn't. I'd already packed, and if I had to move, I'd rather go to the other room then than unpack and repack the next day. That clearly infuriated her. She gave in and moved me to a horrible, dark, dank room on the bottom floor that I'm sure nobody wants. It felt like some kind of retaliation. Then I heard her yell at housekeeping to clean it right after she'd told them they could go home because I was staying. I had to listen as a housekeeper spoke to her poor family to say she wouldn't be coming home and would be late. There was no reason for any of it. Rachel was angry at me and the housekeepers for no reason. There were plenty of rooms available for guests coming in that night. If housekeeping didn't need to clean my room that night, she could have let them go home as planned. I have a severe autoimmune condition. In the wrong environment, I can have a seizure or lose the use of my left leg, which is very scary. The room she sent me to had mold or something in it, and I immediately got a blazing headache. Robert at the front desk was incredibly kind and professional, and let me switch to a room that didn't affect me that way. He and the other staff had been very kind and moved me to a better room. That room still wasn't great. After a short time, I started having cardiac arrhythmias. I smelled sewer coming up through the bathroom drain and realized that was what was setting off my cardiac condition. Within a few days I needed to change rooms again. I mention this because I'd spent several weeks at the hotel and never asked for anything. I was quiet and just paid my bill. These were the only two times I asked for something. Finally, when it was time to check out, I had trouble with my rental car and asked to extend one more day. They told me the hotel was fully booked. This was on a Sunday, when I knew there was plen

The rooms were clean and quiet, and we liked having a balcony. We stayed four nights. One bed was firmer than the other, but both were still comfortable. We also enjoyed the adults-only pool hours and hot tub. Breakfast was terrible, though. The scrambled eggs tasted off, like they'd been sitting since the day before. The tiny fridge only had half-gallons of orange juice, milk, cream cheese, and hard-boiled eggs, and the juice tasted off too. I was looking forward to the little cookie case by the front desk, but didn't see any cookies during our stay. If hotel breakfast and cookies aren't important to you, I'd recommend staying here.

The pool and hot tub were great, and the water pressure was good too. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was friendly and welcoming. The beds were clean and comfortable, and they were very pet-friendly with our two pugs. Even the outside area was picked up, which made walking the dogs enjoyable. I was so pleased with our stay and would highly recommend it.
