Room 4 was fantastic, and Saltus and Wren were so close by. We stayed at 607 Bay while selling our home and moving, even though we live in Beaufort and had never tried a downtown bed and breakfast before. So glad we did. They made our last few nights in Beaufort really enjoyable!

Parking behind the place was convenient, and downtown Beaufort and the waterfront were an easy walk away. The decor has an old-time feel, though the fixtures are up to date, and check-in and checkout were simple. Although it’s called a B-n-B, breakfast comes as a voucher for savings at a couple of good local spots. It’s a bit pricey, but we thought the full experience was worth a splurge.

We chose this place for an anniversary staycation weekend. From our room on the top left, we could see the facade; the room itself was large and beautifully done, with a great bathroom. The veranda right outside was perfect for sitting. If locals enjoy this place, I think out-of-towners will absolutely love it.

Watching boats come and go from the second-floor porch was a highlight. The home has been beautifully restored, with great attention to detail. It’s in a great location, and the friendly staff helped fix a booking mistake I’d made.

Tea, coffee, and a few snacks were available around the clock, and our host was kind and helpful. The location is lovely, right by downtown shops. A perfect spot for a night during our engagement weekend.
